{ Fashion } The Oscars 2014

The Oscars are undoubtedly one of the biggest events, on the Hollywood calendar and a gathering, of some of the most popular stars in the business! Fashion is definitely at the forefront, at an event of this importance and everyone is eager to see who wore what on the red carpet and which designers featured most.

The awards will only be aired in SA this evening but I thought I would share a few of my favourite gowns from the Oscars 2014, which took place last night.
Kate Hudson in a stunning white, plunging Versace gown.

Lupita Nyong’o in a pretty pastel blue Prada gown, with a deep plunging neckline and Fred Leighton Headband and jewellery.

Sandra Bullock, one of my favourite celebrities, looking ever stylish, in a midnight blue Alexander McQueen Gown.

Another one of my fav celebs Julie Roberts in Givenchy Couture, by Riccardo Tisci.

Jennifer Lawrence in fitted Dior gown, with a peplum waistline.

Mom-to-be Kerry Washington looking gorgeous in a simple, yet elegant Jason Wu gown.

Jessica Biel looking so stunning in a Chanel column gown.

Cate Blanchett in an embellished Armani Privé gown.

Last but not least Angeline Jolie in a beautiful gown, by my favourite designer – Elie Saab!

Look of the Week

My look of the week, chosen by one of my fashion interns, features the lovely Emma Watson. Looking super chic in her monochromatic ensemble, with über skinny black jeans and a structured white jacket. This is a style that I am particularly partial to myself. It is a very versatile look that can easily translate from a smart day look to a sexy evening outfit with the help of different accessories. You can tone this look down during the day by swopping the wedges for cute black pumps.

My favourite part of the outfit has to be her gorgeous Tom Ford wedge heels, the chunky chain detail around the ankle is bang on trend and peep-toes are also rather big this season.

Look of the Week

My look of the week this week features the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. Kate was spotted this week at the Dublin Premiere of “Total Recall” in a smoking hot Donna Karan gown. The gorgeous brunette wowed the crowd in this stunning floor-length, pink satin gown, with her hair loosely curled and just sweeping her shoulders – she was indeed a vision of loveliness. She completed her look with none other than a pair of Jimmy Choo, nude peep-toe heels and a beautifully embellished Judith Leiber clutch.

Look of the Week

My look of the week this week features the gorgeous Lucy Liu! I think I am yearning for warmer weather and pouring through all the photos of celebs across the continent, in their summer gear helps take my mind of the icy weather here! Lucy Liu looks absolutely fabulous in her 50’s inspired halter-sun-dress. The sexy halter neckline accentuates her beautiful curves and I love the striped peep toe that she has paired with the dress and her glamorous oversized sunnies.

Look of the Week

My look of the week this week features the gorgeous Blake Lively, we see her here at the Savages premiere, in a yellow Bohemian style Gucci gown. This beautiful Gucci gown shows off Blake’s assets to the fullest, with its super sexy plunging halter neckline and accentuated waistline. I love the turquoise accents from her accessories which lends a slightly more playful element to the whole look and not to forget her trendy fishtail plait. An overall smoulderingly hot ensemble!
