My Top 4 Fashion Items

There is definitely a trend, as far as the common shade of colour, that runs through most of my favourite fashion items at the moment, tangerine is big this season and I could not resist adding a bit of tangerine to my own wardrobe!

Fashion

My Top 4 Fashion Items

 • It is fun and a bit sassy and I feel wonderful in it!
 • The shell bracelet I am wearing was a gift from brother and my new sister-in-law for Christmas! I am loving it, it’s great with most colours but works exceptionally well with more earthy tones.
 • The beautiful geometric print scarf was also a gift, from good friends and it is so pretty and soft. It looks beautiful with white linen trousers and a white T or vest.
 • My old faithful suede wedges have been out and about quite a bit of late, as well as being super comfy they work well with a skirt, a dress or jeans. The colour is neutral so you can get away with wearing them with just about anything, day or night! Oh and the added bonus is they make my legs look awesome!

What are your favourite fashion items? Please share them with us we would love to see what they are!

4 Things On My Christmas List

Christmas

What do I want for Christmas – I have my two front teeth – check . So what else is there?

Christmas

4 Things On My Christmas List

Well I know what my eldest daughter is wishing for – a Land Rover Discovery 4, but I think that may be too big, for Santa, to sneak down the chimney.

 • I guess I want, what we all want – world peace, an end to all violence and suffering!
 • On a less serious note, perfume – I love perfume; my favourites are: Alien by Thierry Mugler, Gucci II and Armani Code.
 • A Nikon, wide angled camera lens – they are not cheap but maybe Santa is feeling generous! (Well I have birthday coming up as well!)
 • Last but not least – a new handbag, my shoe fetish is followed closely but my bag fetish! I am loving the new range in Accessorize at the moment or anything from Kath Kidson would also do! Hint hint….

4 Things I…from Ché Kershaw

Today my featured blogger is local lass, Ché –  “just Ché” as she is known by her beloved blog followers. She is proudly South African and has a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies Degree, specialising in Graphic and Communication Design. Ché has spent the last three years teaching English in South Korea.  At present she is packing up her life to leave Korea and return to South Africa.

indieberries

Ché writes one of my favourite blogs “indieBerries” which is unusual, fresh  and extremely witty –  a great mix of fun and inspiration! It has put a smile on my face on many a bad day, not to forget her truly inspired cartoons.
“indie Berries” is the perfect combination of all things lovely. I hope you enjoy the feast…
Ché loves to laugh, make others laugh and loves red wine (red wine mmm….something we definitely have in common!) She spends her time taking pictures, blowing up stuff in the microwave and drawing epic cartoons. 🙂

4 Things I will miss about Korea…

 • The delicious Korean food.

 • The awkward English which is EVERYWHERE.*

photo-2

 • The beautiful stationery and art stores on just about every corner.

 • The complete and utter randomness of Korea.

Thank you Ché for sharing your “4 Things I” – with us! I wish you safe travels back to South Africa and look forward to many more inspired posts on indieBerries!

4 Things I… from Kayleigh Jackson

Today my featured blogger is local lass, Kayleigh Jackson, from Pretoria. Kayleigh was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and grew up in Amanzimtoti, Durban with her parents and younger brother.  She is currently living with her husband in Pretoria, where she works for a non-profit organization – but is looking forward to new challenges ahead.

Kayleigh spends her time taking long walks, listening to old school music, playing with her kitties, reading and expressing her thoughts and ideas through writing.
I love my husband; we’ll be married for three months this Sunday – 27 Nov. I love my friends and family – although some are far away – they are all very important to me.
Kayleigh is new to the blogging world – she has two lovely blogs – A Quiet Joy, which is an inspirational blog and about being grateful. In her other blog – The Parasol and Cupcake, she shares her insights about weddings, from her own personal experiences as a bride”

4 Thing I am looking forward to at the moment….

New horizons for 2012

I am leaving my position at a non-profit organization at the end of this year and now looking at various work and study options for next year. I’s an exciting change after five years of doing the same thing.

A road trip with my husband

Both our families live in Natal – so we take many trips down there to see them. Neil prefers driving – he says it helps him to switch off from work-mode into holiday mode. I love it for the quality time we can spend together – that is when I’m not falling asleep to the hum of the engine.

Family time in Natal

We haven’t seen our families since the wedding in August so we’re looking forward to being with them over the festive period. I LOVE giving presents! So, I can’t wait to go shopping and pick out special trinkets for each of our loved ones in Durban and ‘Pietermaritzburg. 🙂

Christmas Production and Carols by Candle Light

Every year our church puts on an awesome Christmas production over the last weekend in November and then a beautiful Carol by Candle Light service on the Sunday night. This totally gets me into the Christmas spirit and makes feel like giddy child again!

4 Things I….

I have decided to include a new feature on my blog, which is actually an extension of something I already do called 4 Things….My new feature will be a little peek into the life of a fellow blogger and they will let us know a few things about themselves, under the title – 4 Things I….

My first feature is on a wonderful blogger that I have had the pleasure of getting to know, her name is Angie and she is from Southern California. She comes from a big family; she is one of 10 sisters – 8th to exact!  She lives with the love of her life, Victor and they have an ADORABLE little baby girl named Aries.

Angie writes a blog called “A Little Inspiration”, here are a few words from her about her blog:
“I started to blog because I want to share what I love and hopefully someone is willing to listen to what I have to say and do. There are a bunch of things I love but I will be focusing on my interests and passions: crafting, shopping, decorating and my experiences of being a mommy. My goal is not only to challenge myself but to also inspire others along my journey.”
So thank you to Angie for being my first feature and here are her 4 Things I….

4 Things I love….

I love the smell of gravel after the rain

I love cuddling on the sofa with my lovey dovey

I love my 9 sisters

And most of all I love my little family!
