Healthy Living: Beat Bad Breath with Nova Breath

There are a few body related topics which leave people feeling leaving somewhat uncomfortable. Chronic bad breath or halitosis is one of those taboo subjects, which will have you running for the hills if confronted with it. The thing is, there is something you can do about it. As part of my “Healthy Living” features, I thought I would share the Nova Breath Range and how it can help beat chronic bad breath.

Pizza and wine

While I might not suffer from chronic bad breath, there are times my breath is not as minty fresh as I would like, especially after a night of garlicky pasta or pizza and lots of wine! So while mine is not a medical condition, I need to be confident enough to chat to people, without worrying that my breath will knock them out.

What is Halitosis?

Nova Breath

First, a few home truths. Halitosis, or chronic bad breath, is a medical condition, which does not discriminate. Anyone, including men, women, and children of every race and culture can develop bad breath. With over 600 species of micro-organisms living in your mouth, it is not surprising that sometimes things can get out of control. If left untreated, this oral condition can cause significant distress, anxiety and even isolation. More than that, though, it can be an indicator of a more serious underlying health condition.

As much as 85% to 90% of bad breath is caused by oral factors (in the mouth), with a possible 10% to 15% from systemic conditions and diseases in the body, which are unrelated to the mouth. Oral causes include tooth decay, bacteria in the mouth, and certain medications (anti-depressants, narcotics, antihistamines). Foods like onion, garlic, coffee, and alcohol, as well as cigarettes, also contribute towards bad breath. For women, ovulation, menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause are non-oral causes. Some serious illnesses like kidney failure, diabetes, cancer, bronchial and lung infections, can also result in bad breath.

How to Treat Halitosis

Nova Breath

One of the obvious things you can do to combat bad breath is to maintain good oral hygiene. Brush your teeth at least twice daily, visit the dentist and oral hygienist regularly to avoid tooth decay. Drinking plenty of water is also known to help combat bad breath, but it’s not always enough.

The good news is Nova Breath, a new clinically tested formulation, can help prevent and treat bad breath. So you don’t need to leave those around you breathless, for all the wrong reasons. Nova Breath products are available over the counter, so no prescription necessary. There are four options available in the range, which include a mouthwash, mouth spray, lozenges, and toothpaste.

Each ingredient in the Nova Breath products has a different function, which works together to reduce unpleasant oral odours. The unique clinically tested formulation is enriched with components (mucoadhesives), to keep the ingredients in your mouth long enough, to produce the required result. More than that, it outlasts breath mints, and the sustained release of the active ingredients ensures fresh breath for up to eight hours.

The Product Range

Nova Breath Beat Bad Breath

Lozenges

Once in the mouth, the slowly-release active ingredients get to work to reduce bad breath. You can suck one lozenge every two to three hours, and up to eight times per day. Suitable for adults and children from six years and older.

Toothpaste

The toothpaste not only prevents bad breath but it also protects against tooth decay. To use, brush your teeth twice daily with the toothpaste, preferably after every meal. Suitable for adults and children from six years and older.

Mouthwash

The action of the mouthwash begins immediately. Suitable for adults and children from six years and older.

Mouth Spray

The handy pocket-sized spray is perfect for keeping in your handbag or pocket, to use on the run. As with the mouthwash, the mouth spray acts immediately. Press lightly to spray the solution, once or twice into the oral cavity. Do not use more than six times per day. Suitable for adults and children from six years and older.

So if you or someone you know, suffers from Chronic Bad Breath then Nova Breath could be their saving grace! I know will be keeping the mouth spray and lozenges in my bag in case of bad breath emergencies.
