Mouth-watering New Harbour House Tasting Menu

Harbour House Tasting Menu

Last week Grant and I enjoyed a magical date night at Harbour House in Kalk Bay. With the waves crashing below, the seaside setting is breathtaking and one of my favourite spots in Cape Town. It was our first date night out in ages! To say we were excited is an understatement! Plus, there was the added bonus of sampling the new Harbour House Tasting Menu.

Mouth-watering Lamb Stew Recipe

Lamb Stew Recipe

If you are looking for winter meal ideas, my Lamb Stew Recipe is melt-in-the-mouth delicious, and pairs exceptionally well with a full-bodied red wine. Growing up, Lamb Stew was a firm favourite in our household and the aroma that fills our home when I am cooking it, brings back wonderful childhood memories.

Monneaux Restaurant Summer Menu

Monneaux Summer Menu

As you already know, Franschhoek is one of my favourite Winelands towns – any chance to spend the night, and wild horses could not keep me away! Grant and I recently spent the night at Franschhoek Country Guest House, which included dinner at Monneaux Restaurant to taste their new summer menu.

The Den Apartments Stellenbosch

The Den Stellenbosch

Something both Grant and I love about living in the Cape is that there are so many exciting and different destinations, such as Stellenbosch, just over an hours drive from the city. We often opt for self-catering accommodation when we travel, making it easier to come and go as we please. The Den Apartments, in Stellenbosch, is an ideal base for exploring this historical Winelands town.

Pierneef à La Motte Celebrating Our Culinary Heritage

Pierneef à La Motte

Grant and I recently spent a day at Pierneef à La Motte Restaurant, in Franschhoek, celebrating our culinary heritage. Eating delicious food, drinking fantastic wine and sharing unique food stories, is the perfect way to celebrate your heritage! And the setting for lunch on the outside deck is magical and wonderfully relaxing, especially after a long busy week.
