5 Styles of Handbags You Need in Your Wardrobe

As with shoes, I am crazy about bags and believe there are at least 5 Styles of Handbags you need to have in your wardrobe. While handbags are mainly functional, they can also be the ultimate fashion accessory.

5 Must-have Styles of Handbags

With the end of the year on our doorstep and Christmas fast approaching, I know of at least one item that is on my wishlist! Yes, you guessed correctly – a new handbag! These are my 5 must-have styles of handbags. I would love to know which are your favourite styles – pop over to explore more options.

Classic Everyday Bag

An everyday bag is a definite wardrobe staple. In my opinion, as with shoes, it is worth investing a bit of money and buying a good quality everyday bag, which is big enough to hold all your essentials. This type of bag should be more “function” than “fashion”; keeping the style classic ensures that it is an excellent option whether you are shopping or going to a meeting.

Crossbody Bag

Small to medium crossbody handbags are also multi-functional, making them ideal for everyday use. I love this type of bag for travelling; it is the perfect way to keep travel documents safe – allowing your hands to be free to wheel a suitcase.

Tote Hold-all

Styles of Handbags

A tote is the perfect multipurpose hold-all. While totes are generally quite large, ensure that it is not too big for your frame. It is a perfect bag for travelling, a trip to the beach, holding your laptop, or doubling as a nappy bag for moms.

Clutch

A clutch is where “fashion” trumps “function” and is a great way to add a touch of bling to your outfit! It is a fabulous accessory for a “night on the town” or a special occasion. Ensure that it is big enough for your cellphone and lipstick but small enough to tuck under your arm, freeing up your hands to hold a glass of bubbly.

Stylish Backpack

A stylish backpack is exceptionally versatile. I love it for taking along on a trip, especially if I need to pack my laptop and camera. A backpack is also ideal for going to the gym.
