Say YES to life!

If we do not have hope, then what do we have? A world full of people filled with doubt and despair. This is certainly not how I want to live my life.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to hear that “little voice”, over the noise of the world but we need to not allow the negativity in the world, around us, to bring us down. So claim back the “hope” and say “yes” it is possible – even when the world is shouting “no”!

The rain is back again! Stay warm and dry! Have a great Friday!

4 Things..., Lifestyle

4 Things You Will Not Be Able to Live Without

Ok – so this was quite hard for me, picking just 4 things – tricky one! This does not include things like God and my family because that is a given!

  • My first item that I could not live without is my hairdryer – “OMW” scary stuff , you have to see the “before” and then the “after” to truly understand why, I am not into the whole “shaggy do” look – unfortunately no photo’s!

  • My morning coffee – well to put it simply you do not want to be around me before I have my coffee, I am so not a morning person! ( I have been known to take my ‘Lavazza’ machine on holiday with me – yes it is that bad)
  • My camera is next on the list – I am slightly obsessed with “capturing the moment”, I married a man who hates photos, well “hated” them-he is now a convert!

  • My last item would have to be “spell check” or my dictionary and thesaurus – yes I am notoriously bad at spelling, my secret is out – thank goodness for a husband who is a language boffin! My editor extraordinaire.
What are the 4Things you could not live without? I would love to hear from you – it could be fun to compare notes!

Remember to Enjoy the "Little" Things

enjoy-the-little-things

Some times in all the busyness and mayhem that life brings, we forget to appreciate and enjoy the simple pleasures that life has to offer. So do not overlook the “small” things in your haste to achieve the “big things”, you may miss something vitally important.

Take time out, to stop and ‘smell the flowers’ or simply take a walk on the beach! Have a great week!

4 Things You May Not Know About Motherhood

4 Things you may not know about motherhood:

  • You never stop worrying about your children – NEVER, its cradle to grave stuff (yours that is!)
  • Your feet may actually grow a size or two after pregnancy – So do not buy those “Jimmy Choo’s” before you have a baby!

  • Your “stuff” is no longer “your stuff” – That includes your body and if you have girls, your wardrobe is definitely under threat!
  • You are never just “a Mother” – You are a chef, full time nurse, counsellor, teacher and not to forget taxi driver!
