These are a few of my top beauty products that I am currently using. I developed pigmentation a few years ago and have been on the search for products, which both help correct my skin tone as well as protect it against the harsh elements. As I approach the big 40 I have also been looking for a more intense night cream – we need all the help we can get to fight off those big, bad wrinkles!

I really am enjoying the Clinique Even Better Skin Correcting Moisturiser, I find it really moisturises my skin without leaving it feeling sticky or oily! {and you have the added benefit of SPF20}. I have just started using the Even Better Makeup – which has a fairly thick consistency, largely due to the SPF but it does give a medium amount of coverage which is perfect.

Decleor Excellence Range

These are 3 products samples that I received, to try out, when I purchased other Decleor products for my daughter, they are from the Excellence range. My favourite is the EXCELLENCE SUBLIME RE-DENSIFYING NIGHT CREAM, this tailor-made cream with its unique cocktail of 4 Essential Oils of Iris Concrete, Frankincense, Immortelle and Camomile and the Night Energy’ Solar Complex. It helps to redensify, firm and smooth the skin, replenish the skin’s energy levels and cell communication, reduce pigmentation irregularities and intensely nourish and soothe the skin.

I also love the fact that the Decleor products are made with essential oils and are a more natural alternative to a vast majority of other products.

Fashion Trends 2012

I am loving stripes at the moment – whether they are classic blue and white nautical stripes or big, bold and colourful, they are bang on trend. Stripes can really bring an otherwise plain outfit to life, worn under a jacket or as a statement piece, as a skirt or dress, stripes can be fun and sassy.

The key to wearing stripes is to be sure they flatter your body shape and do not dominate or over power your outfit completely. In my opinion it is better to team a striped garment with other plain items, like denim jeans or a another solid colour like black or white. Stripes are rather versatile and can even be worn with other patterns such as pretty florals.

Use it all over to seal in moisture and soften your skin.

I love the soft subtle fragrance of Ylang-ylang and the rich creamy texture of the Body Butter, it leaves your skin wonderfully smooth without making it sticky or greasy to the touch.

Beauty Pick of the Week

My beauty pick of the week this week is the Maybelline Silk Glam by Eyestudio, this particular palette is called Blue Drama. There are other colour combinations to choose from but I love this for a dramatic eye. It is gorgeous if you are heading out for a night on the town, just add a bit of black eyeliner, lashings of mascara, some bright lipstick and you are good to go!
