My beauty pick of the week this week is the Maybelline Silk Glam by Eyestudio, this particular palette is called Blue Drama. There are other colour combinations to choose from but I love this for a dramatic eye. It is gorgeous if you are heading out for a night on the town, just add a bit of black eyeliner, lashings of mascara, some bright lipstick and you are good to go!
My beauty pick of the week is Essie’s Mint Candy Apple nail polish, I am loving this gorgeous, dreamy colour. Even though winter is looming I am still craving the pastel shades that have been so popular throughout spring and summer in SA. This colour looks great on your fingers and toes. It looks awesome with jeans and looks super hot with white.

We are loving the Up-Do at the moment, whether its sleek and slicked back or messy and natural, with a centre or side parting the classic up-do, is in! So if it’s a classic ballerina bun, a tousled casual style, soft and femine or a volumised twist you are going for, it’s all good and bang on trend! Hairstyle trends for 2012 are definitely going in a more minimalist direction, looks vary from sleek, slicked back styles, side braids, french pleats (chignons) to groomed and styled ponytails. My favourite is the ponytail. They have made a big come back recently, you will find this style everywhere – on the high-street, the catwalk and even on the red carpet. Slicked back or pulled to one side, there are high ponytails, low ponytails – you can even add a bow if you are feeling adventurous! Mostly the look is simple, sleek and polished, with fresh clear skin to compliment the look.
