Thailand Travel

I know it may seem like an eternity since our Thailand trip, which is probably because it is! Much like childbirth, I think it has taken me this long to get over the emotional and psychological scarring induced by certain parts of the trip! Do not get me wrong I love to travel, but it must be said, travelling to distant lands with kids in tow is not for sissies! You can also read my Tips for Travelling with Children. [Read more…]

Travel My Dream Destination

Beach-Flops2

Earlier in the year I published a post sharing my Top Dream Destinations, little did I know that one of those dreams would be coming true in just a few short months! In just under two weeks we will be winging our way to Thailand!!!

Thailand11

I am still pinching myself 🙂 Life has been so busy of late, that I have had very little time to get excited but we did do a bit of luggage shopping for the girls last weekend and I think the reality has eventually sunk in.

All thought truth be told,  I really love to travel but hate the packing part! It is a task that I am truly useless at, I am an “over-packer” of note. I pack for every season or eventuality and usually need to take shoes to match each outfit, a trait which my eldest seems to have inherited from her mother. Have been assured by friends{you know who you are and I am trusting you ;)} that all I need are shorts, T’s, summer dresses and flops – I will try to be restrained!

Thailand12

We have never been to Thailand before, which makes it even more exciting and after the past few weeks of super cold weather I am ready to board the plane tomorrow! The thought of sun, sand and beautiful aquamarine water and not to forget the cocktails – is very appealing at the moment. It may however be a shock for my body, going from jeans and jumpers to shorts and T-shirts but I guess I will find a way to cope 😉

Thai Cuisine

Most of all I am really looking forward to the Thai Cuisine, which is an absolute favourite of mine. I cannot wait to experience the authentic version, which I am sure will be better than anything I have tasted before.

So blogging will definitely be erratic, if and when I am able to share, I will, even if it is just a photograph or two. If you have any travel tips to share I would love to hear them, so please leave a comment below this post.

Flyconnected Giveaway

We all rely quite heavily on technology, even though most of us don’t like to admit it! How often do you leave your cell phone at home and feel like you have lost an arm! We can say what we like, but technology has become a part of our everyday lives. We all like to be connected whether it’s by cell phone, tablet or lap top it does not really matter, as long as you are able to make the connection. So when we have to travel internationally this can cause a bit of a problem, trying to get your cell phone cleared for international roaming can be a rather frustrating process or having to borrow a phone from someone while you are travelling can be somewhat inconvenient. So what if I told you there is an amazing new product that could remedy these issues?

Flyconnected is a new company, that provides travellers with the convenience of getting connected before they fly. They have the best deals with unlimited data and lots of text and call credit. With Flyconnected you can not only save money by getting your UK SIM card here in SA before you fly but you can also let your friends, family or colleagues know your number before you leave on your trip. You will be able to leave your number on your voice mail and out-of-office message, making it much easier for people to be able to contact you while you are away.

Some of the other benefits of using Flyconnected are that you will be connected with the UK’s biggest 3G network, giving you complete peace of mind and you have the convenience of being able to order your “bundle” online. Your order will be delivered to you within 2 Working days and as you pay for your sim or data upfront there are no hidden costs or astronomical bills when you return from your trip.

So if you are planning a trip to the UK for business or pleasure, possibly to watch  the Olympic Games, this product is perfect for you.

I am so excited to announce that Flyconnected are sponsoring a giveaway of a cell phone SIM bundle for one of my lucky readers!  All you have to do is answer one simple question from the Flyconnected website, subscribe to Super Mom’s Newsletters and leave a comment with your answer and details below this post.

Travel: The UK

Travel is something that excites me! I have always loved travelling, some of my most vivid memories, as a child, involve travelling. I was exposed to travel from a very young age, and I am very thankful for this. In turn, travel is always something I have wanted my children to enjoy, and they have willingly embraced it.
