My look of the week this week features the gorgeous Penelope Cruz. She looks absolutely stunning in this super sexy purple lace Pucci, off the shoulder dress. The style is form-fitting and compliments her amazing figure perfectly and I love, love, love her shoes. The look is pulled together with her coordinated purple clutch and purple nail polish. She definitely looks the picture of elegant sophistication!

I have become slightly obsessed with the gorgeous jewel tones that are taking the fashion world by storm. Beautiful shades of amethyst, sapphire, emerald, teal, ruby, garnet and citrine are every where you look, from accessories to nail polish. I thought I would share a few of the jewel-toned accessories that have found their way into my wardrobe recently.
Style colour trends have moved away from the brighter neon colours and in their place you will find this gloriously rich colour palette. If you are not very adventurous with colour, then start by introducing the palette in your accessories.
This is one of my favourite Essie shades for winter, Trophy Wife, a gorgeous deep teal with a beautiful pearl sparkle. I have also found beautiful jewel toned eye-shadows from Revlon, which you can find out more about here.

My look of the week this week features my “style-crush” Jessica Alba! Who says you can’t be trendy when pushing a stroller! In this look Jessica is rocking a magenta Trilby hat, an over sized knit and a gorgeous bohemian print scarf all of which, are super trendy this season. Hats are a big fashion accessory especially for winter, you can see more about this trend in my previous article on hat style trends.

My look of the week this week features none other than South African born Charlize Theron, now international star and darling of the red carpet. Her outfit for the Prometheus Premiere in London, was Dior all the way, I love both the colour and sparkle of her Christian Dior Couture cocktail dress. Her accessories are subtle yet chic and complement her dress beautifully, from her Dior strappy heels to the Bulgari jewels. I love this look on her!

I have spotted one of my fashion icons, Jessica Alba, on two occasions, wearing a Panama hat with such natural elegance, it is a style that really works for her!
Statement hats are a big style trend for 2012, whether it is a vintage style Cloche hat, an oversized Felt hat or a masterfully crafted Panama hat, there is something to suit every outfit and occasion.
We are even seeing the classic Bowler hat making a big come back on the fashion scene, for both woman and men. It can be a rather fun and sassy way to make a fashion statement.
