A fundamental part of what I do, is creating great visuals for use on the Inspired Living Website and Social Media. I believe that people often do not even give an article a second glance if the photographs are poor quality. I am self-taught, and while I know my way around a camera, I would love to up my photography game! One of the things on my Bucket List is to do a Digital Photography Course with Getsmarter. I love photography! It has always been a passion of mine, and it is a rare occurrence for me to leave home without my camera. If I do and a photo-op arises, I tend to rely on my iPhone, which admittedly can also take amazing photographs. Ultimately photography is something that makes me happy, and it is a great creative outlet. [Read more…]
I have great news, Nestling Photography is Coming to Cape Town! Girly duo Natasha Andreon and Carmen Niemand, of Nestling Photography, are lifestyle photographers, who specialise in Maternity, Newborn, Child & Family photography. Although based in Jozi (Johannesburg), they travel all throughout South Africa and October is Cape Town’s turn!
They believe wholeheartedly in family, in love, in nurturing, in children and tenderness. This is most evident in the beautiful images they take!
Nestling’s portfolio covers all aspects of family photography from maternity, newborn, family, to events such as birthday parties and baby dedications.
We love celebrating all things belly, family and children! The cuddle between a mom and her baby, the strong embrace of a dad, the all-to-sweet giggling of a ‘now’ toothless little one! Celebrating families and children being eccentric, being brilliant, being loud, being who they’re suppose to be – themselves!~ Nestling
As a family we have very few, professional photographs of us all together! This is definitely something I regret and wish I had done more of, especially when my girls were younger!
I was really excited to find out that Nestling are coming to Cape Town, to do their Mini sessions. They will be in Cape Town on the 3&4 of October! So don’t miss out book your session now. To book a session or make an enquiry click here.

Technically speaking this is My Last Two Weeks on Instagram not My Week on Instagram but who’s counting! These two weeks flew by in a bit of a blur, so I am squishing two posts into one 🙂
Two weekends ago I spent a wonderful morning with an awesome bunch of ladies from the Bloggers Who Bless community. We had the most scrummy breakfast at Bread Cafe and did what a group of woman do best – chat!!! As well as meeting and getting to know like-minded bloggers, we received a gorgeous goodie bag to take home, which I am still working my way through.
After so much planning and a few logistical nightmares – last week eventually saw the realisation of my first Inspired Living Makeover. The makeover winner Emy is a beautiful woman, inside and out and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Emy is a mom of one, who finds very little time to spend pampering herself, so the whole makeover experience, could not have been more perfectly suited! I will do a detailed reveal post, where I will share more about Emy and her makeover in more detail.
After a hectic week of running around, we decided to keep Valentines Day rather low-key. Our tradition is to prepare a special meal at home, relax and enjoy each others company. As the weather was rather hot and sticky last Friday, I decided on my Coriander, Chilli & Lime Prawns to start, followed by Fillet Steak and Salad. Oh and not to forget deliciously cold bubbly – heaven really 🙂 I must also mention the completely decadent, Red Velvet Hearts I picked up from Emporio Leone, at the V&A Waterfront, for desert.
The rest of the weekend was a chilled, laid-back affair! Starting off with me experimenting with new makeup looks and an afternoon at the movies. Followed by a braai, with close friends. On Sunday the girls decided to make cupcakes, which naturally means mom gets involved as well 😉 They were delicious by the way!

In the spirit of all things Christmassy, the lovely folk over at Consol Glass sent me a fantastic hamper, filled with all sorts of glass goodies but there was a challenge involved! I had to come up with Christmas themed ideas, using glass, for Consol Glass to use in their Christmas eBook. What a fun idea! I thought I would share how to do Christmas with Consol. [Read more…]
