Essie Fall in Line { Mani-Monday }

Essie Fall in Line

Essie Fall in Line

Today’s Mani-Monday features Essie Fall in Line, from the Essie Fall Collection. I have also featured Partner in Crime and Dress to Kilt, which are from the same collection.Essie Fall in Line

Essie Fall in Line

First Impressions ~

Essie Fall in Line is a creamy jade green shade – almost a military green. It is not a colour I would usually wear, as I prefer brighter greens like Trophy Wife. I like trying different colours so I thought I would give it a bash!

Essie Fall in Line

Application ~

I find most of the Essie creme polishes are thicker in consistency, which can be a bit more difficult to apply. Essie Fall in Line is thick but I still found it easy to apply. I used two coats of polish and the Essie top coat Good to Go but you could easily get away with one coat.

Essie Fall in Line

My Verdict ~

Although initially skeptical I really like the colour. It has a deeper finish than I expected and a lovely glossy shine, even without the top coat. Essie Fall in Line definitely gets a thumbs up from me. It ticks all the boxes – applies well, lovely glossy finish and a great colour. You are likely to see it on my nails often during Autumn and Winter.

Feedback ~

What are your thoughts about this colour – yay or nay? Please leave a comment below with your feedback. Thanks 🙂

The Essie Fall Collection is available at selected Dis-Chem, Clicks and Foschini Stores, as well as selected Beauty Salons. RRP 125.

Loreal Infallible Nail Polish {Mani-Monday}

Loreal Infallible Nail Polish Always a Lady 21

 Loreal Infallible Nail Polish ~ Always a Lady

Loreal Infallible Nail Polish

Today on Mani-Monday I am featuring the Loreal Infallible Nail Polish, which I featured in my What’s Hot Beauty Finds, last year. Loreal Infallible Nail Polish, is said to be the new generation of hybrid gel lacquers, giving you intense long-lasting colour.

Loreal-Infallible-Nail-LacqLoreal Infallible Nail Polish is a two step formula, developed to ensure a mirror like-shine, which is scratch free, chip-free and fade-free.

Loreal-Infallible-Nail-Lacquer

Step 1 is the latex and silicone nail colour and Step 2 is the magnifying top coat.

Loreal-Infallible-Nail Polish

The colour I am featuring in today’s Mani-Monday, is Always a Lady 21, which is a gorgeously sexy, deep burgundy. It looks almost black at certain angles and will definitely be one of my favourites for winter!

Loreal Infallible Nail Polish

The polish paints very well and dries very quickly. Above I have painted two coats of the latex polish and one of the top coat, which I think gives a great even coverage. The Infallible polish, is said to last 12 Days but I would probably say, for me, it would realistically be a week. The only negative comment I have, is that I noticed shrinkage, on the tips of my nails almost immediately after I applied the top coat. This is usually due to a fast drying top coat. I think it would be best to edge the tips of your nails with the polish, to avoid this from happening.

What I really love about the Infallible Nail Polish, is the convenience of having a nail colour and a matching top coat, which enhances the colour. The perfect all-in-one product!

Infallible Gel Nail Lacquers are available in 12 different shades and the RRP is R109.95. Follow @LorealParisSA on Twitter to keep up-to-date with new products and beauty news.

Morgan Taylor Who Dini { Mani-Monday }

Morgan-Taylor-Who-Dini

Morgan Taylor Who Dini

You may recall a Mani-Monday post I did last month, introducing the Morgan Taylor Enchantment Collection, if not please go and check it out. Today I am bringing you another one of the shades from this collection – it is the Morgan Taylor Who Dini.

Morgan Taylor Who Dini

The Morgan Taylor Who Dini is a gorgeous blue grey creme. Again I think this shade is perfect for Autumn/Winter. You cannot go wrong with grey, it compliments most strong colours, such as red and burgundy, which are usually popular in autumn/winter. I love grey in any shade, so this polish is a definite a winner for me!

Morgan-Taylor-Who-Dini

Grey is my neutral or “nude” shade for winter, when I need a break from the dark reds and berry nail polish colours.

Morgan-Taylor-Who-Dini

As I have mentioned before the Morgan Taylor lacquers paint very well and tend to last well, without chipping. I always use both a base and top coat, which are both Essie products. I will do a separate post on which base and top coats work the best.

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquers are available at selected Dis-Chem stores, all Sorbet stores and leading salons and spas nationwide – RRP R110.

Have a Happy Monday and a FABULOUS week!

Essie Dress to Kilt { Mani-Monday }

Essie-Dress-To-Kilt

Essie Dress to Kilt

Hello lovelies today’s Mani-Monday post, is another of my favourites from the Essie Fall Collection! Autumn is definitely on it’s way, with it comes cooler weather and a shift to more autumnal colours!

Essie-Dress-To-Kilt

One of my favorite shades for Auntumn/Winter is red and the deeper the shade the better! Essie Dress to Kilt is just that, a gorgeously deep blood-red.

Essie-Dress-To-Kilt

As with most Essie nail polish shades, two coats will give you a great even finish and as long you apply a top coat, the polish will last a good few days.

Essie-Dress-To-Kilt

I think Essie Dress to Kilt is a fab colour and I know it will get great wear, throughout Autumn and Winter! What do you think? Do you have any particular shades you love for A/W or are there any nail polish shades or brands, which you would like to see featured on Mani-Monday? Please leave a comment below 🙂

Essie Partner In Crime { Mani-Monday}

Essie-Partner-In-Crime

Essie Partner In Crime

This week’s Mani-Monday post is Easter inspired! Think all things chocolately! I thought I would try one of the new nail polish shades, which I received recently – Essie Partner In Crime.

Essie Partner In Crime

Essie Partner In Crime is a gorgeously rich dark chocolate shade – as I said perfect for Easter time!

Partner In Crime is from the Essie Fall Collection, which has just launched in SA. The collection is perfect for the transition into Autumn and showcases a dramatically seductive palette.

Essie-fall-Collection-2015-

The fall collection consists of five alluring shades, including the one I am featuring – Essie Partner In Crime, the other shades are: Style Cartel, Dress to Kilt, The Perfect Cover Up, Fall In Line and Take it Out Side.

Essie-Partner-In-Crime

I have been wearing either really bright or pastel colours during summer, so the change to darker colours is most welcome! Essie Partner In Crime is a wonderful dark chocolate shade, with mahogany undertones, which looks almost black at times. It is definitely a great shade which you can wear in Autumn, as well as Winter.

The Essie Fall Collection is available in April 2015 at selected Dis-Chem, Clicks and Foschini Stores, as well as selected Beauty Salons.
